PointPerio believes that its' primary responsibility
is to hygienist and dentist clinicians who are committed
to developing technical mastery in the nonsurgical
management of chronic periodontitis and excellence
in the way that care is delivered to patients. PointPerio's
principal service is in designing and innovatively
delivering the education and advanced training necessary
for clinicians to:
- Optimally perform the diagnostic and technical
aspects of comprehensive, nonsurgical periodontal
care which can be sustained over the long term
- Significantly improve higher level thinking, interpersonal
communication and case presentation skills that
result in high case acceptance and accountability
for treatment recommendations
- Successfully integrate business systems to support
the inevitable increase in production and profitability
associated with practicing progressive periodontal
therapeutics
As a pioneer in transferring periodontally related
research and technological advancements to private
practice, PointPerio will continue to be positioned
to collaborate with academic communities and the manufacturing
industry to provide unbiased, evidence based information
and recommendations related to nonsurgical treatment
of chronic periodontitis to clinicians who practice
within a general practice environment. PointPerio
will strive to stay current in relevant research,
continue to incorporate scientifically founded information
in its curriculum, and discover practical uses of
theoretical knowledge that will increase quality of
care and efficiency in production of that care.
It is true that to some extent the success of PointPerio
will be measured by the financial rewards that come
from delivering on our promise to help clinicians
develop technical mastery in the nonsurgical management
of chronic periodontitis and excellence in the way
that care is delivered. Yet perhaps the greatest measurement
of our success will be in PointPerio's ability to:
- help clinicians fulfill their personal and professional
potential
- advance the art and science of periodontal therapeutics
within general practice environments, and ultimately
- increase the quality of periodontal care for the
public we serve.
